Geological exploration and reserves
The total number of deposits is 122 (GB RF as of 01.01.2020).
The enterprises of the Company are subdivided according to the territorial production principle into the following groups:
- West Siberian
- Volga region
- Central Siberian
The oil-bearing capacity of the fields within the boundaries of the Volga group is associated with terrigenous and carbonate rocks of the Middle-Lower Carboniferous and Devonian, and in the West Siberian and Central Siberian regions – with deposits of the Upper Jurassic and Neocomian.
Prospects for the discovery of new oil and gas deposits, as well as the expansion of the oil-bearing boundaries previously discovered, are associated with the stable implementation of the geological exploration program, in particular, with the detail of high-quality CDP-2D / 3D seismic exploration, as well as exploratory and exploratory drilling.
At the same time, in recent years, hard-to-recover and unconventional reserves have become the main directions for replenishing the portfolio of reserves in the medium term. This allows us to quickly rank projects, highlighting the most attractive and promising (Verkhne-Shapshinskoye, Tagrinskoye, West Varyoganskoye deposits).
In 2017, the field SRR CDP-3D was completed in the license areas of the Shapshinskaya group of fields. The total volume of performed construction works exceeds 1600 km 2 . In the current year, a comprehensive processing and reinterpretation of the performed seismic surveys and well data from the Shapshinskaya group of fields was carried out, which made it possible to clarify the geological model of the Neocomian deposits.
The results of the production drilling program confirmed the high efficiency of the ongoing geological exploration work (geological exploration). Thus, in 2019, in the lower Ach reservoir of the Verkhne-Shapshinskoye field, the total increase in reserves amounted to 1.6 million tons of oil, at the Tagrinskoye field, an increase of 13.3 million tons was obtained .
Additional surveys at the Tagrinskoye field allowed to increase about 10 million tons. reserves of highly marginal oil that extend beyond the boundaries of the Tagrinskoye LA in unallocated subsoil reserves within the boundaries of the flanks of the Tagrinskoye field and Vostochno-Kalinovoye LA.
In 2019, as part of the geological study of the Khanty-Mansiysk field, processing and interpretation of 2D seismic data (SRP) (length 2 781 linear km ) was carried out, based on the results, an area was determined for further study and detailed SRP 3D (area 100 km 2 ) on the Paleozoic deposits.
A prospecting and appraisal well was drilled at Soboliniy license area of Tomskaya Neft LLC. The oil and gas content of the Marevaya area has been clarified, which did not confirm commercial oil and gas reserves, the well was abandoned.
Following the implementation of the exploration program in 2019, the total increase in reserves across the Company amounted to more than 15 million tons.
In order to annually replenish the resource base, the Company plans to continue to pursue a policy in the field of geological exploration based on:
– search and exploration of new hydrocarbon deposits in oil and gas promising horizons through exploratory and exploratory drilling, as well as advanced production drilling;
– increasing the efficiency of prospecting and exploratory drilling by improving the quality of 2D and 3D seismic surveys, which allows detailed mapping of complex hydrocarbon traps, including in deep-seated complexes;
– expanding the boundaries of already established deposits
– acquisition of potentially promising new subsoil plots based on geological and technical and economic assessments.
